About Samiti
Devbhoomi Taxi Owners Jan Seva Samiti was established in 1970. It is the first maxi association in Uttarakhand and is the largest association by far, with around 400 members. The current board has a total of 7 core members who look after the management of the committee.
The main goal of the committee is to ensure that all its members are fully licensed, drive well-tested vehicles, have full insurance coverage, provide reliable service to customers, and receive full training in all aspects of customer service in their work as taxi drivers. The motto of the committee is “Sasta, Sulabh, Quick Service.”
With over 500 taxis registered for this service, the company follows a strict process of recruiting taxi drivers and taxis. The strict process of recruitment is not limited to drivers only but also to vehicles. The committee ensures that all taxis have valid official documents, such as permits, registration certificates, insurance policies, and fitness certificates for the vehicle, before the taxi is inducted into service.
